Last spy photos of the next generation Sorento we brought you had very little disguise. Compared to the current Sorento the new model looked sportier and bigger in size.
Now first official image of the new Sorento XM has been released showing us the side view. Public debut should take place at the upcoming Seoul Auto Show.
2010 Kia Sorento will use the unibody architecture not the body-on-frame platform. This means Sorento will lose some of its off-road capabilities and towing capacity. For people who never plan to take their Sorento off the road it should be good news as the new unibody architecture offers better handling and more comfortable ride.
New diesel engines and upgraded gasoline ones are expected to deliver class leading horsepower ratings and fuel efficiency.
One of the new engines is the 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel with 200 hp, which will be mated to a new in-house developed six-speed automatic transmission.
