For some people there is no such thing as enough horsepower. Now owners of the 638 hp Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 can turn to Hennessey Performance for even more power.
Hennessey’s supercharger Pulley & Blower Snout upgrade increases boost from 11 to 14 psi. Other upgrades include: intercooler, K&N air filter, re-programmed engine management computer, stainless steel 1 7/8 inch headers and high flow catalytic converters with mid pipes.
After these changes the power output is at 705 hp. ZR700 with 705 hp accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.1 seconds (stock 3.4 seconds), 0-150 mph comes in 13.9 seconds (stock 17.1 seconds). 1/4 mile in 11.0 seconds @ 136 mph.
There is a second package called ZR750 with 755 hp, that takes the ZR1 from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds, while the top speed is 217 mph.
If 705 hp or 755 hp is not enough Hennessey says 1000 hp is attainable. No details on how, but we have no doubt they can do it.
