Geneva preview: Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Even though we are still month’s from the next Geneva Motor Show, Alfa Romeo has decided to release first details about the all-new Giulietta, which will be presented to the public next March.

Sales of this new model will start soon after and will be gradually extended to all the major markets soon after.

Based on the new lightweight architecture it will go against not just the Volkswagen Gold, but also more luxurious Audi A3.

The Alfa Giulietta is the result of Alfa Romeo’s new direction in style and technology – an approach that started with the 8C Competizione supercar.

Alfa Romeo will offer the Giuletta with four turbo engines from the launch. All Euro 5 compliant and fitted with a standard “Start&Stop” system for reducing consumption and emissions: two gasoline engines (1.4TB – 120 hp and 1.4TB MultiAir – 170 hp) and two diesel engines (1.6 JTDM – 105 hp and 2.0 JTDM – 170 hp).

Top of the range model will get the Quadrifoglio Verde badging packing 235 horsepower.
