Even as Ferrari’s California convertible is hitting the market, Ferrari is continuously going in for new models. Take a look at the first spy pix of Ferrari’s next generation F430. These are the actual prototypes of this model which has a compact front engine.

This supercar will be fitted with a 4.5L V8 engine and called the F450, so it will be a more powerful machine than he F430. Furthermore, Auto Motor und Sport is reporting that a concept version will be unveiled at September’s Frankfurt Motor Show ahead of a sales launch in early 2010.

The new car will have bigger air intakes at the sides, a central exhaust system and a longer wheel base. Ferrari has confirmed that it’s looking at a range of powertrain advancements including hybrid and turbocharging technologies, as well as the introduction of lighter construction methods and active aerodynamics. This will help the new model give better performance.
