Just few weeks ago we reported that RUF is working on all electric Cayman. Now it seems that something has changed as they have introduced an all electric 911. No information yet what happened to the Cayman project. Most likely the German source confused the Cayman with 911.

Even though it is still a concept, we are sure it won’t stay the only electric 911, and more will follow.

This 911 (997) has a single electric engine with 204 hp(150kW) with 650Nm torque. 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) comes in less than 7 seconds. Not the fastest 911, but considering the car weighs 1900 kg it is not bad at all. Most of the weight comes from the lithium-ion battery pack that weighs close to 550 kg (this electric 911 features 96 battery cells, each has a weight of 5.6 kg).

According to RUF top speed is 224 km/h (139 mph). When fully charged the driving range is between 250-300 km (155-180 miles). No information yet on how much would it cost to buy one. It definitely is cooler than the Tesla Roadster.
