Dodge Viper ACR laps Nürburgring faster than the ZR1 (Video)

Chrysler has big plans on selling the Viper brand. Bad timing I guess as the Viper seems to be more of a supercar than we all thought.
Motor Trend took the Dodge Viper ACR, added there a Racetech seat with a six-point harness and the rest of the car stayed factory spec fitted with the Hard Core package. Hard Core package sheds around 40 pounds of the curb weight.
Then they took two Viper ACR models to the Nürburgring and lapped the ring in an amazing 7 minutes 22.1 seconds. Thats 4 seconds faster than the Corvette ZR1 and seven seconds faster than the Nissan GT-R.
Till now the time is unofficial and we are not sure yet can the lap record officially counted or not as some minor changes were done to the car whereas ZR1 and GT-r were completely unmodified.
