2010 Cadillac XTS Platinum ConceptXTS Platinum Concept features Cadillac’s “Art & Science” design language and is expected to go on sale in the end of 2011 or early 2012. It will likely replace the STS/DTS when it arrives going against the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7-Series.

In the heart of this luxury sedan is a plug-in hybrid system matched with a 3.6-liter V6 and all-wheel drive for dynamic and efficient performance. Total system output is 350 horsepower.

According to Cadillac, the XTS Platinum Concept was designed from the inside out, re-imagining the luxury sedan as a personal headquarters, built for efficiency, luxury and connectivity. The concept introduces a new approach to in-car electronics that improves the form and function of the car’s entertainment, navigation and information systems.

Other highlights are a Magnetic Ride Control (MRC), An advanced, specially calibrated all-wheel-drive system, Four-wheel disc brakes, with four-channel ABS, StabiliTrak stability control, full-function traction control and a very luxurious interior.

Purely on electric mode it is expected to have a 20 mile range and can go up to 40 mph before the 3.6-liter V6 kicks in.
