Chevrolet Corvette GT1 Championship Edition debuts at Sebring 12-hour race

On Friday Chevrolet introduced the limited production GT1 Championship Edition Corvettes at the Sebring International Raceway.

This special model limited to 600 units marks Corvette Racing’s successful 10 year run in the American Le Mans series.

GT1 Championship Editions will be available as a Coupe, Convertible and Z06. Each is limited to just 100 units in Yellow/Black and 100 in Black/Yellow color.

The series also has its own specific VIN sequences: 300001 for the Velocity Yellows and 40001 for those in Black.

Included in the GT1 Championship Edition package:

* Graphics inspired by C6.R livery feature Corvette Racing “Jake” mascot, ALMS championships, and driver flags
* ZR1-style body color full-width spoiler and chrome wheels
* Custom leather-wrapped ebony interior with exclusive yellow accent stitching
* GT1 embroidery on leather seats, instrument panel, and center console armrest
* Special engine cover with carbon pattern and yellow Corvette lettering
* Windshield banner (owner installed)

Coupe and convertible versions also include Z51 Performance Package and NPP Performance Exhaust. Optional on the coupe and convertible is the MX0 6-speed paddle shift automatic transmission. U3U Navigation system is optional on all models. C2L roof package is available on the coupe version.

Pricing for the GT1 Championship Edition starts at $65,310 for the 4LT Coupe, $71,815 for the 4LT Convertible and $86,385 for the 3LZ Corvette Z06.
