Video: GM shows next-generation head-up display technology
General Motors R&D and several universities are working on a system that would use data gathered from an array of vehicle sensors and cameras and project images generated by compact ultra violet lasers directly onto the entire surface of the windshield.
For example if you are driving in the fog, the system could use vehicle’s infrared cameras to identify where the edge of the road is and the lasers could ‘paint’ the edge of the road onto the windshield so the driver knows where the edge of the road.

Ferrari presented the vettura laboratorio (experimental vehicle) at the Geneva Motor Show based on the 599 GTB Fiorano equipped with an advanced new hybrid transmission.
Hybrid technology is one of the solutions examined by Ferrari in its on-going research and development into making its production cars ever more efficient.
Video: Pagani Zonda R Official Promo
Pagani has released a promo video for the Zonda R, showing this supercar taking shape on the assembly line all the way to burning rubber on the race track.
Zonda R features a 6.0-liter V12 engine sourced from AMG, that produces 740 horsepower and up to 710 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a XTRAC six-speed sequential gearbox, 0-100 km/h comes in 2.7 seconds and the top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph). Price? Around €1,460,000.
Audi RS5 and Ur-quattro meet on the track (Video)
Audi has released a promotional video for the new RS5 that made its public debut earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show. This new RS model packs a naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 that produces 450 horsepower and 430Nm of torque.
In this new video this new video RS5 is featured together video the original Ur-quattro from the 1980s, that was one of the most amazing rally cars at the time. Audi RS5 will go on sale this spring with a price around €77,000.
Video: Aston Martin Rapide vs Porsche Panamera Turbo
Aston Martin Rapide is marque’s first four-door sports car. From the side it looks like a DB9 and there’s a reason for that, as it is built on the extended DB9 platform.
Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 470 horsepower. Porsche Panamera on the other hand is built on an all-new platform and clearly offers more space. The Turbo version is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 that produces 500 hp.
Fail! flooded escape goes wrong in a Corvette (Video)
Owner of a C4 Corvette tried to move it from a flooded barn, and fails big time. As you can see there is plenty of water between the barn/Corvette and dry ground. So the owner tries lots of things from pieces of plywood and a wall section.
Finally he launches it through water and of course fails as Corvette’s induction system draws air from the front bumper. Not good for the engine to get that much water into it.
Video: Aston Martin One-77 testing in Southern Europe
End of December we brought you photos of the Aston Martin One-77 from speed testing in Southern Europe. Here we have the video footage showing this supercar in action. The One-77 surpassed all predictions in initial high speed testing and comfortably broke the 200 mph mark.
In a series of test runs completed the One-77 exceeded original expectations and recorded a 220.007 mph (354.86kmh) top speed in dry but windy conditions under the guidance of the Aston Martin engineering team.
Video: Porsche Intelligent Performance - The next spark
Porsche 918 Spyder concept is most likely one of the biggest surprises at the Geneva Motor Show. The car has already been dubbed as a successor to the mighty Carrera GT. Let’s hope it enters production soon as it surely is impressive.
In addition to all the first details and photos Porsche has also launched a promotional video for this green supercar titled “Porsche Intelligent Performance - The next spark”.
Koenigsegg Agera Promotional Video
Built to celebrate the company’s 15th anniversary, the Agera features a twin-turbo 4.7-liter V8 with 910 horsepower and 1100 Nm of torque. This high end supercar weighs 1290 kg (2832 lbs), and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.1 seconds, before topping out at 390+ km/h (245+ mph).
Here we have the first promotional video for this new supercar, that is expected to enter production in the second half of this year. When launched it will be built alongside the CCX and CCXR.
Video: Nitro Circus Monster truck backflip
This is insane! We have seen motorcycles do backflips, but never a big monster truck. Cam McQueen did it last weekend in Jacksonville, Floroda. Perfect backflip in a big monster truck!
Even though some claim it is the first monster truck backflip, it is not actually true. First ever was done already last spring, but surely not in front of such a huge crowd. Both videos below. Enjoy!

Porsche released details and photos about the new Cayenne last week. This luxury SUV is much sportier, fuel efficient and lighter than its predecessor.
New design makes it actually look smaller, but don’t let the looks confuse you - it is actually bigger than the model it replaces. In addition to first official photos we have new videos below showing new Cayenne in different conditions. Enjoy!
Video: Jay Leno drives a reborn DeLorean
DeLorean was never a real success as the company went bankrupt soon after it was introduced in early 80s. It had all the looks, but the heavy Renault sourced 2.8-liter V6 with 135 hp was just wrong for this futuristic sports car.
Now this already classic sports cars has been “rescued” by DeLorean Motorcar Company, which can give it little more power from the stock Renault V6(up to 195 hp) and some other modifications to make it better than the original car.
Hyper PRO Racer from Australia (Video)
This looks like fun! Australian Jon Crooke has been developing the Hyper PRO Racer for about ten years. It looks like a miniature version of the Ariel Atom mixed with a go-kart.
The Hyper PRO Racer is all about minimum weight and tons of power. Power comes from a Yamaha 450 WR four-stroke motorcycle engine mated to a five-speed sequential gearbox. Weight of this superkart is just around 350 pounds.
Hennessey VelociRaptor 500, a 500+ hp beast (Video)
Hennessey Performance has unveiled an upgrade package for the new Ford F150 Raptor called VelociRaptor 500. As always their packages are all about more horsepower, and so is the case this time. 5.4-liter Ford V8 gets a Whipple supercharger that boosts engine output to 501 horsepower at 5,100 rpm and 520 lb-ft of torque at 3,200 rpm.
0-60 is down from 8.4 to 5.6 seconds and the quarter mile comes in 14.1 seconds at 97 mph. Hennessey says they will create 100 VelociRaptors each year, with the full kit costing $10,950.

2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S packs an amazing 530 hp, 0-100 km/h comes in just 3.3 seconds while the top speed is 315 km/h.
Porsche has released an interesting video of the 911 Turbo S history giving everyone a quick overview of all 4 different generations. First 911 Turbo S(type 964) was launched in 1993 and featured a 3.3-liter flat six engine that produced an impressive 380 hp.
