Renault announces 20th Anniversary Clio Special Edition
Renault Clio is celebrating its 20th year this year. Over 10 million cars have been sold worldwide and this little hatch is the only model ever to secure two Car of the Year awards.
To celebrate Clio’s 20th anniversary, Renault has decided to release special, exclusive ‘20th’ limited edition versions of three- and five-door Clio, Clio Estate and Clio Renault Sport.
New Renault Megane Coupe-Cabriolet unveiled ahead of Geneva debut
Renault has released details and images of the new Megane Coupe-Cabriolet ahead of its public debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
New Megane CC features a very elegant black glass retractable large glass roof which offers a very brightly lit cabin and a sensation of space and freedom.
Geneva preview: Renault Wind
In a World Première at the Geneva Motor Show on 2 March, Renault will unveil its a new coupé-roadster called Wind. Here we have first photos and details.
Wind is a two-seater coupe-roadster with a retractable hard-top. Size wise it is as bigsmall as the Peugeout 206CC. Its length is just 3.83 meters. Electric roof open in 12 seconds and it has a luggage space of 270 liters whatever the position of the roof.
Renault launches sporty Clio S
In addition to the hot Renaultsport model range, Renault is also offering sporty look and feel to the core Clio range with the launch of a new ‘S’ version.
Main visual highlights are white 16-inch ‘Polar’ alloy wheels, white front bumper insert and white ‘GT’ rear spoiler, white racing stripes with an ‘S’ incorporated into each band. Completing the package, are extra tinted rear windows and tailgate for a truly contemporary look.
Geneva Preview: Renault teases new Megane CC
Even though the Geneva Motor Show is in March, automakers have already started their marketing campaigns to keep the interest high.
Here we have first teaser photos of the upcoming 2011 Renault Megane CC, which as we can see from one of the teaser photos will feature a retractable glass roof.
2010 Dacia Duster SUV revealed
Renault owned Dacia has unveiled their new SUV called Duster. The Duster will be available both as a 4×2 and 4×4. Customers can choose from two diesel engines(85 and 105 hp dCi units) and a 1.6-liter gasoline units that produces 110 hp.
This little fuel efficient SUV is 4.31 meters long and 1.82 meters wide, and will compete very closely with the new Mitsubishi RVR crossover.
Renault Twingo Gordini R.S. hot hatch unveiled
Few weeks ago Renault announced that they are bringing back the legendary Gordini badge for its high performance hatches. First car to receive the Gordini badge is the tiny Twingo.
Called Twingo Gordini R.S. it looks like a lot of fun. 1.6-liter engine produces 133 horsepower which should be plenty for this small city car.
Renault Revives legendary Gordini Name
Amédée Gordini, developed almost 200,000 Renault vehicles over a 20-year period. Gordini also achieved some of the brand’s greatest sporting achievements in the 1960s.
Now Renault is reviving this legendary name, which will be added to the Renault Sport range. Soon we can see these little blue bombshells with two white stripes back on the streets.
Twingo V8 Trophy - not your average city car!
First generation Renault Twingo is a base for this beast by French tuner Nazareth. Called Twingo V8 Trophy it features a mid-mounted 3.5-liter Range Rover V8 that produces over 180 horsepower.
There are no rear seats as you can see in the photos below. Just a shiny V8 that sends the power to rear wheels via 5-speed manual gearbox.
New Mégane Renaultsport 250 priced from £21,995 in UK
Renault has announced pricing for the new Megane RS 250. Prices in UK start for the Mégane Renaultsport 250 Cup from £21,995 (€23,950) on the road, while the standard model with more equipment starts at £22,995 (€25,000).
Renault UK will be taking orders from November 1st with deliveries starting in January 2010.
RENAULTSPORT Twingo 133 Cup priced from £11,795 in UK
Renault is producing some of the hottest little hatchbacks. In the spring they launched a Clio RS 200 and now are introducing a “Cup” version of the tiny Twingo RS 133.
Twingo RS 133 Cup provides focused driving experience with less equipment and a little lower price compared to the standard RS 133.
Renault’s Kangoo be bop Z.E – an all electric vehicle
Last week Renault announced it was designing the Kanoo be bop Z.E. as an all-electric concept vehicle with a 60hp electric motor and lithium-ion batteries which can run for about 100km. Kangoo be bop Z.E. is equipped with compact, lithium-ion batteries produced by AESC (Automotive Electric Supply Corporation)
The car is roomy inside with a satin-finish chrome and metallic acid green trim and grey velour upholstery with embroidered ‘printed circuit’ motifs. It features LED lights in the front and rear, being even more environmentally friendly.
Renault unveils Dacia Sandero Stepway
Dacia is a Romanian car manufacturer that is a subsidiary of the French carmaker Renault since 1999. They build low cost cars, which sell quite well in the eastern part of Europe.
Yesterday at the Barcelona Motor Show Renault introduced a new model called Dacia Sandero Stepway.
Renault announces UK pricing for the new Clio RS 200
New Clio RS 200 will be launched in the UK on 15th of May.
This little sporty hatchback has 200 horsepower from a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine. It has only 3 more horsepower than the last generation Clio RS 197, but it is lighter and with better aerodynamics.
Renault Twingo CC spotted winter testing in Sweden
Earlier it was speculated that Renault Twingo CC (Coupe Cabriolet) will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Unfortunately not.
Looks like Renault engineers still have some testing to do as the car was spotted in Sweden with heavy disguise.
