Video: Aston Martin Rapide vs Porsche Panamera Turbo
Aston Martin Rapide is marque’s first four-door sports car. From the side it looks like a DB9 and there’s a reason for that, as it is built on the extended DB9 platform.
Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 470 horsepower. Porsche Panamera on the other hand is built on an all-new platform and clearly offers more space. The Turbo version is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 that produces 500 hp.
Swiss tuner Mansory enhances Porsche Panamera
Mansory is all about tuning already exclusive cars. After Chopster Cayenne, the Panamera the second Porsche which is given the honor to become entirely modified by this legendary Swiss tuner.
The new front skirt with adapted LED daytime running lights in combination with the striking bonnet made of carbon fibre give the front section a distinctive character.

Geneva 2010: Porsche 918 Spyder concept
Its been a while since Porsche brought a concept model to a major car show. For Porschephiles this surely is a big surprise as at the Geneva Motor Show this sports car maker is showing a new green supercar called 918 Spyder concept.
This plug-in hybrid is both efficient and also very fast. For example, it is planned to provide an emission level of just 70 grams of CO2 per kilometer on fuel consumption of only three liters/100 kilometers (78 mpg U.S.).

Next-generation Porsche Cayenne details and photos released
Porsche is presenting the brand-new generation of the Cayenne SUV at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
New addition to the Cayenne range is the Cayenne S Hybrid with its technically highly sophisticated parallel full hybrid drive and fuel consumption in the New European Driving Cycle of just 8.2 litres/100 kilometres (34.4 mpg), and CO2 emissions of just 193 g/km.
Porsche Panamera and Panamera 4 set to debut in Beijing
Porsche Panamera saw the first public debut last year at the Beijing Motor Show. End of April in Beijing they will introduce an entry level Panamera and Panamera 4 with a brand-new 3.6-litre V6 featuring Direct Fuel Injection and developing maximum output of 300 bhp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
The Panamera transmits its power to the road via the rear wheels, while the Panamera 4 comes with active all-wheel drive.
Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid unveiled, racing soon on the Nürburgring
110 years ago Ferdinand Porsche developed the world’s first car with hybrid drive, the Lohner Porsche Semper Vivus. What we have here is something visionary in the racing field, the 911 GT3 R Hybrid which makes its public debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
The innovative hybrid technology featured in the 911 GT3 R Hybris has been developed especially for racing. Electrical front axle drive with two electric motors developing 60 kW each supplements the 480-bhp four-litre flat-six at the rear.

Porsche has released an interesting video of the 911 Turbo S history giving everyone a quick overview of all 4 different generations. First 911 Turbo S(type 964) was launched in 1993 and featured a 3.3-liter flat six engine that produced an impressive 380 hp.
2011 Porsche 911 Turbo S packs 530 horsepower
Porsche has unveiled a new 911 Turbo S, which packs an impressive 530 horsepower from a twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat six.
It has 30 extra horsepower compared to the regular 911 Turbo and 700 Newton-metres (516 lb-ft) of torque. Even though it has more power it does not consume any more fuel than the Porsche 911 Turbo, making it by far the most efficient sports car in its performance class.
Porsche 911 GT3 R makes public debut at Autosport International
Today, Porsche unveiled their latest 911 race car - the 911 GT3 R. This new race car is developed for racing series based on the international FIA GT3 regulations, succeeding the 911 GT3 Cup S and is delivered to customers ready-to-race.
Based on the latest 3.8-litre Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, which will compete in the 2010 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup supporting selected Formula One races, it weighs just 1,200 kg (2,646 lb) and has a larger 4.0-litre six-cylinder ‘boxer’ engine delivering 480 bhp.

9ff TR-1000 is a tuned Porsche 911 Turbo that produces 1000 horsepower and 1040 NM of torque. Engine changes include larger turbochargers, improved intercooler, titanium con rods, crankshafts, sport air filter revised ECU and a new high performance exhaust system.
0-100 km/h comes in just 3.2 seconds. 100-200 km/h in 4.8 seconds, 200-300 km/h in 8 seconds. 300-360 km/h in 16 seconds.

Porsche tuner RUF introduces the first SUV with electric powertrain
Specialty car manufacturer and tuner RUF is the first company to introduce an electric SUV dubbed eRUF Stormster. Based on the Porsche Cayenne it uses a Siemens electric motor with 270 kW.
Weight of the car is 2,670 kg and it accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 10 seconds, top speed is 150 km/h and range from one charge is 200 km.
Volkswagen takes 49.9 percent stake in Porsche AG
Last year everything pointed to a Volkswagen getting swallowed by a much smaller Porsche. Unfortunately for Porsche their plan did not go through as they ended up in huge debt, despite of the fact that they owned 51 percent of Volkswagen.
So the tables turned and the two companies are integrating. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft yesterday finally took 49.9 percent stake in Porsche AG. The price for the stake is €3.9 billion and is based on the enterprise value for Porsche AG calculated under a careful due diligence and valuation procedure.
