Is it possible GM can keep Opel?
For one reason or the other GM has managed to delay the sale of Opel. Now meetings are going on to decide between RHJ Holdings and Magna International. Enter politics - German Chancellor Angela Merkel who is up for re-election has made it plain that her government favors Magna’s bid, which includes a major investment by Russian state-operated Sberbank. She wants that the new alliance not close any factories in her country. But if Magna wins, there is the distinct likelihood that GM would lose patent rights to Russian automaker GAZ.
Video of the 2011 Porsche Boxter on racing track
The Nurburgring track has seen many cars and the 2011 Porsche Boxter is yet another one on the list. Even though the previous model has only made an appearance some months ago, the automaker is already hard at work at the new model, considering it is already being test driven.
The car still sports a cloth roof, the front end is longer and slightly bulging and new rear LED light clusters. However, there are bound to be differences to the mechanics, and possibly weight reductions and there may be greater fuel efficiency.

BMW Vision EfficientDynamics hybrid
We have already written about teaser images and speculated about this car, but now all is revealed and that too before the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new concept is actually a plug-in hybrid with a three-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.
Much of the speculation has come true: BMW claims a 0-62 mph time of 4.8 seconds while scoring 62.6 mpg (U.S.) on the E.U. combined test cycle. The concept uses a strong hybrid system, which is a level higher than mild hybrid in the ActiveHybrid 7 model. The 33 hp electric motor is powerful and a second 80 hp motor drives the front axle. These specifications result in the total net output of the drive system being 356 hp with 590 lb-ft of torque.
