Maserati announces Quattroporte Sport GT S “Awards Edition”
Based on the Quattroporte Sport GT S, the “Awards Edition” celebrates all the awards that the Maserati flagship sedan has received since its debut six years ago. To be precise this luxury sedan has won 56 awards from prestigious automotive and lifestyle publications in 14 countries over four continents.
The car will be unveiled to the public next week at the Geneva Motor Show.
Maserati chooses the Alfa Romeo MiTo as its new courtesy car
Maserati has acquired 100 Alfa Romeo MiTo units to serve customer needs when their Maserati’s are being serviced.
These one hundred MiTo’s are produced exclusively for Maserati’s service network, and will soon be circulating on roads throughout Europe.
According to Maserati, the Alfa Romeo MiTo is the perfect “Courtesy Car” for customers who clearly appreciate Italian style and unique products.
Maserati GranTurismo Convertible starts at $135,800 in the US
Maserati North America has announced a base MSRP of $135,800(plus all the faxes, fees) in the United States for the luxury 2010 Maserati GranTurismo Convertible.
The GranTurismo Convertible breaks ground as the first four-seat convertible from the house of the Trident. It os offered with 9 Exterior colors standard with 5 optional hues, 10 shades of Poltrona Frau leather and 3 wood trim options, Rosewood, Walnut and Wenge for the interior.
Limited-edition Maserati GranTurismo S MC Sport Line for Middle East
Middle East is one of the biggest markets for luxury car makers and it is no surprise that they are offering special editions there.
Maserati has announced a very limited-edition GranTurismo S MC Sport Line with Matt White “ice” finishing for the Middle East market. This special edition is inspired by the the world of motor racing featuring plenty of carbon fiber inside-out.
Maserati GranCabrio priced from £95,630 in UK
Maserati has announced UK pricing for the new GranCabrio. Priced from £95,630 it is now available for order and will reach UK showrooms in April 2010 just in time for the sunny summer.
The CranCabrio is basically a convertible version of the GranTurismo S, featuring Pininfarina styling and a 4.7-liter V8 engine that produces 440 hp and 490 Nm of torque.

Even though large parts of the western auto markets are in the doldrums, the eastern markets are doing well, seeing the examples of India and China in particular. Tata, which has made a success of its Nano, and has also bought Jaguar and Land Rover, is looking at expanding its portfolio.
Maserati’s new coupe

Maserati’s new car, probably called the Cabriolet, is slated to make it debut in the Geneva Motor Show in 2010. This convertible version of the GranTurismo will have two plus two seating and will most likely retain the wheel base and dimensions of the closed GranTurismo.
It will mostly be powered by the Quattroporte GT S’s 433-hp 4.7-liter V-8 with the ZF six-speed automatic (currently under development for the GranTurismo). It may have a soft top, making it a convertible. The engine will be a 433-horsepower 4.7-liter V8 one and it will have a six-speed ZF automatic gearbox.
After its debut, it will be available in retail. It was actually supposed to be on the road this year, but it has been delayed by a whole year. Maserati fans are waiting.
Maserati unveils GranTurismo MC
Maserati will officially unveil the GranTurismo MC during the FIA GT “Media Days” at the Paul Ricard circuit. GranTurismo MC is based on the Maserati GranTurismo S road version with electroactuated gearbox system.
Power comes from a 4.7-liter V8 engine that develops 450 horsepower.

New Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic features a 4.7-liter V8 that develops 440 horsepower at 7000 rpm. Maximum torque is 490Nm at 4750 rpm. Power is sent to rear wheels via ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox.
For better handling it features Skyhook suspension system with continuously adjustable dampers.

Maserati has promised to introduce a new model at each international car show. Next week in Geneva they will show the GranTurismo S Automatic.
The new Maserati GranTurismo S Automatic features a 4.7-liter V8 which develops 440 horsepower (323kW) at 7000 rpm. The maximum torque is 490Nm at 4.750 rpm.
Maserati 250F has been voted the greatest racing car ever
The Maserati 250F has been voted the greatest racing car ever by a British motoring magazine Octane. The car was first nominated by Sir Stirling Moss.
Other nominees included an Auto Union Type C, Lotus 49, Porsche 917, Cobra, Mercedes-Benz W196 and Toyota TS010 Group C. All the cars were nominated by famous racing drivers and personalities, including Brian Redman, Damon Hill, Derek Bell, Carroll Shelby, Andy Wallace and Bobby Rahal.

Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S debuts in Detroit
The new Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S is a high performance luxury sedan, that according to Maserati was conceived and developed as “a real driving machine in the guise of a luxury sedan”.
Engineers did not just add the “S” to the regular Quattroporte Sport GT. V8 4.7-liter engines power is increased to 433 hp thanks to the adoption of a sport exhaust system. Transmission software has been updated, front and rear suspension feature single-rate dampers, stiffer springs and lower ride height.
