Fail! flooded escape goes wrong in a Corvette (Video)
Owner of a C4 Corvette tried to move it from a flooded barn, and fails big time. As you can see there is plenty of water between the barn/Corvette and dry ground. So the owner tries lots of things from pieces of plywood and a wall section.
Finally he launches it through water and of course fails as Corvette’s induction system draws air from the front bumper. Not good for the engine to get that much water into it.
2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition
The Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition is a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Corvette’s first race in the 24 Hours of LeMans. Production will be limited to 500 units, and for track use, the Z06 Carbon is the best balanced Corvette yet.
It combines the lightweight and naturally-aspirated Z06 engine with the road-holding and braking of the ZR1,” said Tadge Juechter, Corvette Chief Engineer. “For technical tracks like Laguna Seca, the Z06 Carbon could shave up to three seconds off the Z06 lap time.”

If you have been following us for a while you know pretty much all there is to know about the extended-range Chevrolet Volt.
Expected launch for the Volt is end of this year, it has a range of 40 miles (64 km) from a fully charged battery, after that a small 4-cylinder gasoline internal combustion engine creates electricity on-board using a 53 kW (71 hp) generator to extend the Volt’s range to more than 300 miles (483 km).

Automakers take their future cars to extreme conditions to make sure they will last in different conditions. We have seen prototypes cold weather testing in the Arctic Circle, Southern Europe and California.
General Motors has taken the Volt testing to a new level. The prototype is not in a sunny Calofornia, but in a special room where temperature can go over 200 degrees Fahrenheit (95 Celcius) to see how individual parts act to such extreme conditions.
Chevrolet Camaro Synergy Special Edition starts at $26,790
Chevrolet is introducing another special edition Camaro called Synergy, which will be produced in limited quantities from February to May with prices starting from $26,790.
The 2010 Camaro Synergy Special Edition is based on a Camaro 1LT, with a 3.6-liter direct injection V6, paired with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The V6 delivers 304 horsepower and 273 lb.-ft. of torque.
GM unveils 2011 e-Spark at the Auto Expo in New Delhi
e-Spark is GM India’s first move into the electric vehicles and will be India’s first 4 door passenger EV. This new EV is a local initiative of GM India in collaboration with Reva Electric Car Company.
According to GM, the e-Spark will be one of the leading platforms of GM India in its Drive to Green initiative. Based on the existing Chevrolet Spark architecture it will be powered by the RECC EV powertrain.
Detroit 2010: Chevrolet Aveo RS Show Car
The Aveo RS concept will debut next week at the 2010 North American International Auto Show. It features a European-inspired hot hatch look designed to appeal to young enthusiasts, and hints at the next-generation Aveo.
It is longer, wider and more spacious than the current production Aveo, showcasing new design cues both inside and out.

Today General Motors announced that it will invest $336 million in the Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant to begin production of the Chevrolet Volt in 2010.
GM unveils 2011 Chevy Cruze for the U.S. market
This week at the Los Angeles Auto Show GM will show the 2011 Chevy Cruze in U.S. trim. GM targets Cruze against Honda Civic and Ford Focus when it goes on sale sometimes in mid-2010.
The Cruze is bigger than the Chevy Cobalt, but comes with smaller and more fuel efficient engines. Customers can choose from a new 1.4-liter turbocharged four cylinder with 138 hp and a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter units with the same power.

SEMA 2009: Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 concept
Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 concept is on display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas showing GM’s performance parts collection.
In the engine bay is a 550 horsepower LS supercharged V8 crate engine. Other upgrades are DBS shocks, a four-inch lift kit, an extruded aluminum cargo management rail system, and skid plates.
ZR2 Concept features also a very aggressive carbon fiber bodywork: new front fenders, larger grille, hood, fender flares, side sills, tailgate and 20-inch BBS RD wheels with 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler off-road tires.
50th Anniversary Corvette Stingray Concept
50th Anniversary Corvette Stingray Concept was first shown at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show. This concept celebrates 50 years of the Corvette Stingray Racer Concept that debuted in 1959.
Stingray Concept can also be seen as a “Sideswipe” in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
ALMS style racing 2010 Chevrolet Camaro by Bo Zolland
Designer Bo Zolland from VizualTech(Sweden) has created a patch of amazing renderings of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro based GT racer for the American Le Mans Series.
This race spec Camaro has a wider track, wide body kit, huge rear wing, fender vents front and rear, side skirts, front lip spoiler and a big diffuser on the back.
GM needs your help naming the Volt exterior color
We have all seen the official Chevy Volt pictures where it is finished with the silverishgreen color that GM at the moment calls an emerald hue.
But this is not a good name for a color, especially for a car that General Motors has placed very high hopes. As this is the main launch color for the Volt, GM is turning to you for help.
