Video: Aston Martin Rapide vs Porsche Panamera Turbo
Aston Martin Rapide is marque’s first four-door sports car. From the side it looks like a DB9 and there’s a reason for that, as it is built on the extended DB9 platform.
Power comes from a 6.0-liter V12 engine that develops 470 horsepower. Porsche Panamera on the other hand is built on an all-new platform and clearly offers more space. The Turbo version is powered by a 4.8-liter V8 that produces 500 hp.
Aston Martin DBS by edo competition
Aston Martin DBS is one of the most beautiful luxury sports cars out there. 6.0-liter V12 produces 510 horsepower, which is plenty for most people.
For a tuner like edo competition there is always room from improvement. Thanks to revised ECU software, new exhaust system, special catalytic converters, and high flow air filters the V12 produces now 542 horsepower and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque.
Video: Aston Martin One-77 testing in Southern Europe
End of December we brought you photos of the Aston Martin One-77 from speed testing in Southern Europe. Here we have the video footage showing this supercar in action. The One-77 surpassed all predictions in initial high speed testing and comfortably broke the 200 mph mark.
In a series of test runs completed the One-77 exceeded original expectations and recorded a 220.007 mph (354.86kmh) top speed in dry but windy conditions under the guidance of the Aston Martin engineering team.

Aston Martin Cygnet is a luxury city car based on the Toyota iQ. Basically it is a rebadged iQ with higher quality materials, Aston Martin badge and a higher price tag.
Rumored price is somewhere around 25,000 euros and it will be limited to only current Aston Martin owners. Below is the first commercial for the Cygnet showing two free-runners demonstrating their physical prowess by tackling a range of obstacles to reach the Aston Martin Cygnet.
One-77 closes on new Aston Martin record
Aston Martin’s One-77 supercar has moved closer to setting a new all-time record for the British marque in initial high speed testing after surpassing all predictions and comfortably breaking the 200 mph mark.

Carbon Black makeover for Aston Martin DBS and V12 Vantage
Top of the range Aston Martin DBS and V12 Vantage have undergone a unique Carbon Black makeover to create a highly desirable special edition.
Both cars feature a bespoke Carbon Black metallic paint especially formulated with a subtle metallic twist to create a deep rich patina. Each car will undergo 50 man-hours of hand painting followed by stringent quality checks.
First official images: Aston Martin Cygnet Concept
Aston Martin has released the first official images of the ‘Cygnet’ – a new luxury commuter concept car. This little Aston is based on the Toyota iQ with a touch of Aston Martin luxury.
According to Aston Martin work on the concept is ongoing and will continue into 2010 when it is hoped that it will become a production reality initially available to Aston Martin customers in the UK and Europe. No official details about engine choices, but don’t expect a hand built V8 or V12 in this little city car.
Aston Martin Rapide can be yours for £139,950 in the UK
Aston Martin Rapide is one of the most exclusive four-door sport sedans to hit the Aston dealers next year. Now finally Aston Martin has confirmed pricing and launch times for this luxurious sporty sedan.
The Rapide will be launched in quarter one 2010 with pricing starting from £139,950 in the UK which features an impressive level of standard specification including: Bang & Olufsen Beosound audio system tailored specifically for Rapide, heated memory seats, dual cast brakes and Adaptive Damping System.

Aston Martin makes some of the best looking sports cars/supercars in the world. Opinions about their first four-door sports car Rapide are different, but mainly it looks like Aston has done it again and most petrolheads love it.
Rapide is built on the extended DB9 platform and seats four passengers(there is a console between the passengers on the rear as well) just like the Porsche Panamera.
Aston V12 Vantage to US
The CEO of Aston Marin, Dr. Ulrich Bez said that V12 Vantage will be made in greater numbers and wants to be able to sell in the US contrary to what its web site says. The web site which has still probably not been updated says that only 1,000 cars will be made during the one year life span of the car.

Aston Martin’s Rapide four door sedan
Aston Martin has released official pictures of its new Rapide four door saloon. Slated to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it had been unveiled as a concept car at the Detroit Auto Show in 2006. The actual car is somewhat different from the concept car.
The saloon does not have the small side air intakes on the front bumper have and there’s a new shuntline that runs down the length of the body. It has new ‘swan’ doors which open upwards and outwards and the rear has LED tail lights, dual exhaust pipes and a spoiler feature.
The 2010 Aston Martin Elite car
Concept car images have been released by Aston Martin for the Le Mans Vantage Racer. This boutique car will be a limited edition one, with only 30 being released in all. The Elite LMV/R is going to be lighter than the factory Vantage because it is meant for people who want to use racing cars on the road.
Toyota’s deal with Aston Martin
For the first time ever, Toyota has agreed to build and supply a car to an outside car maker. Toyota will be making the car for Aston Martin. Called the Cygnet, the car will be ultra small and though based on the IQ model will be substantially different.
The car will be sold in Europe and details like launch date, price and number of cars have yet to be decided. Aston Martin is known for its premium sports cars which have been made famous thanks to the James Bond movies.
Aston Martin Rapide - spy shots
The new Aston Martin Rapide, which is going to make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, has been caught by a spy camera. The car uses the company’s standard 6 .0-litre V12 with 470bhp and 443lb ft, and is scheduled to go on sale in early 2010.
In his own words, Simon Gregg, who caught the car on camera, said, ‘I spotted the new Aston Martin Rapide on the M4 Westbound on Friday evening. This new addition from Aston Martin is most certainly going beat the Porsche Panamera in the style stakes! It has the same aggresive look of the Vanquish from the rear and even offers the appearance of being a two-door car, rather than a four-door when viewed from certain angles.

Bonhams, an automotive auction specialist, holds an annual auction of Aston Martin cars and other memorabilia related to the car. This is the 10th anniversary of this successful auction which is going to be held at Aston Martin Works Service at Newport Pagnell, UK.
On offer are more than 200 lots, including more than 40 cars. Among them are a superb choice of Aston Martin’s road and race cars ranging from a Feltham-era DB cars, to a 2004 DB7 Zagato, one of only 99 pieces produced. Highlights are a 1962 DB4 convertible, formerly in the collection of film director, Bruce Robinson, as well a rare Lagonda Rapide Sports Saloon.
