BMW Simple Concept on display at the BMW Museum (Video)

One of the latest concepts by BMW is “The Simple Concept”. Simple is a three-wheel concept combining features from both automobiles and motorcycles.

The concept owes its passenger cell to the car, providing protection from wind and weather as well as shielding the driver from exterior noise and offering occupants a high degree of safety in the event of an accident.

Simple is for two people, sitting one behind the other. One corners it acts like a motorcycle leaning into corners.

Simple weighs 450 kg and is just 110 cm wide. Power comes from a 48 hp combustion engine. Even though Simple is quite light and reminds us a motorcycle it lacks the performance associated with two wheelers. 100 km/h comes on about 10 seconds. What is impressive though is the fuel consumption. To travel 100 km it requires about two liters of petrol.

Simple Concept is now on display at the BMW Museum in Munich together with many other concepts from the past.
