Autoblog has spy shots of a BMW car which may be M7 of the BMW 7 series. The pictures were taken when the vehicle was being test driven in Germany. Like other BMW cars, this one seems to look good and is powerful as well. There seems to be a power bulge on the hood, a front mounted intercooler, and probably a twin turbocharged 4.4-liter V8, putting out 555 hp with 500 lb-ft of torque.
Because the traditional quad exhaust is missing, it points to the possibility that the car may be using BMW’s active hybrid system since BMW is also planning to appeal to environmentally friendly consumers. The truth will come out when the car debuts at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year.

So BMW will be offering a 760i with a twin turbo 6.0 V12 of 544 hp and 533 lb-ft and a M7 with a twin turbo 4.4 V8 of 555 hp and 500 lb-ft taken from the X5M/X6M. These figure are too close and even if Audi released a A8 W12 and a S8 outputting the same power (450 hp), BMW is most unlikely to do so with a M badge. Moreover, these figures are far behind those from the MB S65 AMG (612 hp), not to mention that BMW always denied planning such a M7.
This is definitively a Hybrid 7.
