Bentley Mulsanne is a replacement for the aging Arnage series. This new luxury sedan will go against Rolls-Royce Phantom and Maybach 57/62.

Sales will start in the second quarter of 2010 with an expected price around $500,000.

The Mulsanne is designed and engineered at Crewe from the ground-up. The return of the Mulsanne name underlines Bentley’s sporting heritage and passion for power and speed.

According to Bentley it takes more than two months to build a Mulsanne because more than 50% of the car involves handcraftsmanship. This leads to a lot of individual choices as Bentley offers 24 hides and 28 different exterior paint colors (114 with the ‘extended range’).

Power comes from a new 6.75-liter V8 that produces 505 bhp and 1020 Nm of torque. In addition to the sedan there are also a coupe and a cabrio planned.
