It is rumored that after dropping the V12 TDI plan for R8, Audi engineers are still working on a more powerful unit than the R8 V10 5,2 FTI Quattro.
Just to get back on Lamborghini which they happen to own? InsideLine reports that Audi is working on an engine that should overpower the 5,2 V10 and its 528 hp.
The Audi R8 has been such a success that Audi seems to want to squeeze as much juice out of it as possible. That, on the other hand, has got Porsche starting to worry a bit, considering it’s a fair rival to their 911 series.
Porsche owns Volkswagen and the latter is the proud parent of Audi. So it’s again a nice and friendly soap-opera, German style.
