We saw one of the test mules for Audi RS5 back in October. During winter time it was very quiet and no prototypes were seen - it almost seemed until today that Audi might have put the RS5 development on hold due to the bad economy.
Now we have proof that Audi’s in house performance team Quattro, which is responsible for the RS models is back and testing the RS5.
Even though the car has S5 badges, it is obvious it is not one. You can see a revised front bumper with bigger air intakes and new oval exhaust pipes on the rear.
Rumor is that power will come either from a 4.2-liter V8 that develops around 450 horsepower or from a 5.2-liter V10 that produced 500+ horsepower. Just like all RS models it will feature Audi’s famous quattro drive.
RS5 will be competing directly with other Germans such as BMW M3 and Mercedes-Benz C63.
