Alfa Romeo will introduce another version of MiTo called Veloce

Next month at the Holland’s largest motor show Alfa Romeo will unveil a new concept called MiTo Veloce.

This new version of Alfa’s premium city car will be positioned between the standard Mito (1.4-liter turbocharged engine with 155 hp) and the MiTo GTA (1.8-liter turbocharged engine with 230 hp).

Power would come from a modified 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that develops 180 horsepower (very likely the same engine as in the Fiat Grande Punto Abarth SS). This engine takes the MiTo Veloce from 0-100 km/ (0-62 mph) in 7.5 seconds. Engineers have upgraded the suspension and brakes. Exterior changes include a new bodykit, decals and new alloy wheels.

Currently there is no information will the MiTo Veloce enter production or is it just a show car for Amsterdam. AutoRAI 2009 will be held from the first of April through the 11th at the Amsterdam RAI convention center.
