520 Tesla Model S electric sedans reserved in first week

Last week Tesla unveiled the all electric Model S. This electric sedan seats five adults and has a range of 300 miles (482 km).
Now according to Tesla they received 520 orders in the first week for this $49,900(after $7,500 tax credit) electric sedan.
Each customer paid a $5,000 reservation fee, which is refundable of they decide not to get one. So in less than a week Tesla got $2.6 Million In reservation fees.
Performance numbers for this four-seat coupe-like electric sedan are impressive. 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) comes in just 5.6 seconds. Top speed is 120 mph (193 km/h).
