Even though GM is in a financial mess and some even speculate over a potential bankruptcy, it has not stopped the company from developing new models.
This new small Chevy spotted testing in Sweden is very likely the next generation Aveo.
At first we thought it is the new Lacetti, but it seems smaller so until more details we’ll call it next-generation Aveo. New Aveo is based on the new GM small-car platform which will also be used for the next-generation Opel/Vauxhall Corsa and the Chevrolet Spark.
There will be a five door version(pictured), three door and a sedan version just like the current generation. World debut is expected to take place this fall at the Frankfurt Auto Show with sales starting in 2010.
