2010 North American Car and Truck of the Year nominees announced

North American International Auto Show in January is one of the biggest car shows in the world. In addition to all the different concepts and new arrivals, it is also the event where we get to hear which vehicle gets nominated as North American Car and Truck of the Year.

Organizers of the event have released a list of the nominees in both the truck and car category.

There are fifteen cars considered as candidates from small Mazda3 to luxury Porsche Panamera and 10 trucks where we don’t see any big size trucks like it was few years ago. In fact this time there are wagons listed like Honda Accord Crosstour, Acura ZDX and Subaru Outback.

The 2010 North American Car of the Year short-list candidates are:

The 2010 North American Truck of the Year short-list candidates are:

Acura ZDX
Audi Q5
Cadillac SRX
Chevrolet Equinox
Ford Transit Connect
Honda Crosstour
Land Rover LR4
Lincoln MKT
Subaru Outback
Volvo XC60

The awards are given by 50 of the most experienced and respected automotive journalists in Canada and the United States.The winners are announced at a news conference at the North American International Auto Show in January.
