Mini Crossman was first shown as a concept at last year’s Paris Motor Show. We have brought you different spy photos from Germany to snowy Sweden. This time the Crossman has been spotted first time on the famous Nürburgring.
Mini Crossman rides on a new chassis that will be shared with the upcoming BMW X1.
Design wise these two will have nothing in common. Production version will likely have four regular doors, all front hinged not sliding door on the driver’s side like the concept had.
Exterior design is all Mini with some off-road inspirations such as roof rails, raised suspension, wider track and of course four wheel drive system. Crossman will also be available with just front wheel drive.
Power will likely come from the same engines found in the current Cooper and Cooper S.
On the spy photos here you can also see part of the interior and a new hand brake.
Mini Crossman will be built by Magna Steyr in Austria. Production model is expected to make its world debut in September at the Frankfurt Auto Show with sales starting soon after.
