We have already seen the first official images of the 2010 Mazda3 Sedan. what we have here are the first spy shots of the upcoming Mazda3 MPS.
This high-performance version is based on the five-door hatchback body of the Mazda3 Sport and is marketed in North America as Mazdaspeed3 and in Europe Mazda3 MPS.
This heavy camouflage is hiding bigger air intakes, new grille and an air scoop. Mazda3 MPS also gets bigger brakes and dual exhausts compared to the new Sedan.
Current Mazda3 MPS was introduced at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show and features turbocharged 2.3-liter DISI MZR engine that produces 263 hp (196 kW). In Europe Mazda3 MPS will compete mainly with the new VW Golf GTI.
