2010 Jaguar XJ spotted again, this time winter testing in Sweden

We brought you first photos of the new Jaguar XJ back in December.

This prototype spotted in Sweden still wears heavy camouflage to hide the final look. Insiders who have seen the actual car, confirm earlier speculations that it will be more aggressive and use a coupe-like design.

Codenamed X351, this wild cat will use a modified all-aluminum platform from the current X350. New engines include a supercharged V6 that produces over 300 horsepower. 5.0-liter V8 comes naturally aspirated and supercharged. First one will have up to 400 horsepower and supercharged version around 500 horsepower.

Diesel fans can choose a new 3.0-liter turbo diesel(developed from the old 2.7-liter turbo diesel). Rumor is that XJ will also be offered with a hybrid powertrain. Sales of the new XJ are expected to start in 2010.

Next-generation Jaguar XJ will go against Mercedes-Benz CLS, Aston Martin Rapide, Porsche Panamera and Audi A7.
