Codenamed “F10″ this next-generation 5 Series Touring was spotted testing in the Northern Sweden.
It still has very heavy camouflage and temporary lights. On the sedan version that we brought you few weeks ago it already showed new front and rear lights.
Compared to the current 5er it will have cleaner front-end and lights similar to the new 7 Series. Front grille will be also larger similarly to the new 7 Series.
Rumor is that the new 5-Series will get a longer wheelbase and a wider track. Engine line-up won’t change much and will include variations of existing engines.
Top of the line model will get the 4.4-liter twin turbo V8, that currently also powers the X6. New 5-series should also get the optional eight-speed transmission, in addition to the six-speed manual and semi-auto transmission.
