Aston Martin makes some of the best looking sports cars/supercars in the world. Opinions about their first four-door sports car Rapide are different, but mainly it looks like Aston has done it again and most petrolheads love it.

Rapide is built on the extended DB9 platform and seats four passengers(there is a console between the passengers on the rear as well) just like the Porsche Panamera.

Rapide uses a revised 6.0-liter V12 from the DB9 that produces 470 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque at 5000 rpm. Power is sent to rear wheels via new six-speed Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

0-62 mph comes in about 5.3-seconds and top speed is around 188 mph.

Chief Executive of Aston Martin, Dr. Ulrich Bez has said that now with the Rapide there is an Aston Martin for every taste and for every use. Hopefully they are not planning an SUV.

The Rapide will go on sale beginning of 2010 with an expected price around $200,000 in the U.S.
