Despite the fact, that Jaguar is working on the all-new XJ, they have updated the current XJ last time for the year 2009. As we wrote yesterday the all-new XJ will be available most likely already in 2010.

Jaguar has improved the seat design for better comfort, also heated seats are now standard across the range. Air-cooling is now standard on Sovereign models. There is more rear leg and foot room thanks to redesigned back seats.

Renowned for its all-aluminium body construction, the updated XJ line-up offers a choice of two engines for customers. First one is the 2.7-liter Diesel (combined fuel economy of 35 mpg/6.72 l/100 km). Second one is the 4.2-liter supercharged V8 previously found in the XJR. In the UK prices for the 2009 Jaguar XJ start at £44,599.
